STROBING vs. Contouring
Creating depth or Creating the Sun! Which one is right for you?
If you're into beauty than I am pretty sure you heard about the new makeup craze strobing and are pretty familiar with contouring. But what's the difference? Well I was wondering the same thing so I did a bit of homework, so here it is: Strobing is a technique used to illuminate the face. It places emphasis on highlighting. It has the appearance of great lighting all day or a dewy look. This look is more airy and light.Contouring is making use of light and darker colors to create depth to the face. It also has more emphasis on the illusions of shadows to bring forward or push back. You can create slender nose, high cheekbones, fuller lips etc. This is a heavier technique.
